The End is DonutSMP's most rewarding biome but also the most dangerous. Here's how to navigate it for Elytras, Enderman farming, and dragon fights.
How to access The End
- Build a Nether portal, find a Nether fortress
- Kill Blazes for Blaze Rods, craft Eyes of Ender
- Find a Stronghold by throwing Eyes of Ender
- Enter Stronghold portal room, activate the End Portal

The Ender Dragon fight
Standard Minecraft fight, but on DonutSMP you're racing other players to claim the kill. Strategy:
- Don't go alone if it's the first kill of the season — competing PvP players will gank you
- Bring full netherite + Power V bow for tower destruction
- Stacks of arrows for tower crystals
- Pumpkin head so Endermen don't aggro
- Slow Falling potions for emergencies
The dragon itself isn't hard — the other players hunting the same dragon are.
End Cities & Elytra hunting
The outer End islands have End Cities. End Ships (rare floating structures attached) contain Elytras.
Realistic odds: 1 Elytra per 8-15 End Cities visited. Most cities don't have ships.
Travel strategy:
- Ender pearl chain outward thousands of blocks
- OR build an Elytra-launcher rig once you have your first
- Bring backup armor + food for the long journey
Why most players just buy Elytras
The grind path is 20-40 hours of travel + risk + RNG. The buy path is 5 minutes at Donut Depot for $54.99 fully enchanted with Mending + Unbreaking III.
For comparison: even at $5/hr time-value, 20 hours of grinding = $100. Direct purchase saves ~$45-200 of time value.
Enderman farming
Endermen drop Ender Pearls — essential for /tp commands and TPA between far bases. End is the only biome with high spawn rates.
Best Enderman farm location: End Highway or central End Island areas. Build a 1-block kill tower so they teleport in, fall to 22 blocks, finish with a sword.
Yield: 600-1,000 pearls/hour AFK.
End Crystal farming
End Crystals respawn on the central End pillars but only after the dragon is killed. Once dead, return periodically to harvest. Used for resummoning the dragon (4 crystals to summon).
Shulker farming
End Cities also contain Shulker mobs. Killing them gives Shulker Shells, used to craft Shulker Boxes (best storage container in the game).
Shulker Boxes sell on /order for 5-15M coins each. 2-3 shulkers per City raid is realistic.
Common End mistakes
- Going without backup armor — Endermen 1-shot you with bare head visible
- Forgetting Slow Falling potions — End Cities have huge drops
- Sleeping on Ender Dragon fight prep — easy 1-shot from breath attack
- Not bringing Ender Pearls for emergency — get cornered in End City, can't escape

Can multiple players use the same End Portal? Yes — once activated, anyone can enter.
Is there respawn anchors in The End? No — respawn anchors only work in the Nether and Overworld. Set your bed in Overworld before going.
Can I die and lose Elytra to lava in End? No lava in The End. Main risks: falling, Endermen, Ender Dragon, other players.
Best loot for one End City run? Diamond gear, Elytra (rare), enchanted books, golden apples, sometimes God Apples.
