Complete DonutSMP God Apple guide — buffs, PvP usage, stockpiling strategy, and where to buy.
Enchanted Golden Apples — "God Apples" — are the highest-impact consumable in Minecraft. On DonutSMP they're loot-only (can't be crafted since 1.9) and essential for serious PvP. Here's the complete guide.
Eat one and gain four stacking buffs for 30 seconds to 2 minutes:
Combined: you're essentially impossible to kill 1v1 in vanilla gear during the buff window.
During PvP fights:
During PvE:
Don't use:
| Player type | God Apple stash |
|---|---|
| Casual / non-PvP | 3-5 (emergencies only) |
| Active PvPer | 16 (1 stack) |
| Faction warrior | 32-64 (2 stacks) |
| Base raid prep | 64+ |
Average serious PvP day burns 2-4 G-Apples. Stockpile accordingly.
Three paths:
1. End City raids (free, slow) — Loot End Ships. Rare drop from City chests. Realistic rate: 1 G-Apple per 10-15 End Cities explored.
2. Auction house — Players list them at ~15-25M coins each. Buy 5-10 at a time.
3. Donut Depot — $1.49 each, in-game delivery in under 5 minutes. Cheapest reliable source.
At Donut Depot's $0.10/M rate, 15M coins = $1.50. So buying G-Apples via coin purchase + /ah equals about $1.50 each. Direct from us at $1.49 is essentially the same price.
A stack of 16 G-Apples = $23.84. Cheap insurance for a serious PvP session.
Are God Apples consumable? Yes, single-use. Pop it, get buffs for 30sec-2min, gone.
Why can't I craft these myself? Mojang removed the recipe in 1.9. Loot-only now. The only ways to acquire: End City raids, /ah purchase, or shop purchase.
Do they stack? Yes, up to 64 per inventory slot.
Can you cheese the buff timer? No — buffs run out after their durations regardless of activity.
Are they worth $1.49 each? For serious PvP: absolutely. They've saved fights I would have died in. For casual play: maybe 3-5 in your ender chest for emergencies.
